    Gray Plaid Archer Button Up

    November 1, 2017 / 11 Comments

https://gasda.org/ssda-news-june-2025/ Hello! So I haven’t blogged since February and I’m not “ablogagizing”, just stating a fact. I have probably missed blogging more than you have missed me, but I am back nonetheless. It’s been an interesting year. My goal this year was to have more fun, which I feel like I succeeded in doing. I went on some amazing trips: a fun canoe trip, an epic family wedding, an anniversary getaway at my favorite local vintage trailer park and my annual escape to Camp Workroom Social. In February, Matt and I swapped rooms we use as studios, so now I have a bigger and better sewing space. It just took some…

Staple Dress #2- Birds in Flight Double Gauze

    October 26, 2016 / 11 Comments

Ambien Buy Online I’m happy to say, I have been sewing and knitting like crazy and I have several projects backlogged to share. This little number is the April Rhodes Staple Dress sewn in a double gauze I bought at Stitches on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Pattern- April Rhodes Staple Dress Fabric- Flight Shroom Double Gauze Organic Cotton by Birch Fabrics, purchased from Stitches This is my second Staple Dress and while I initially thought this dress was so not my usual silhouette, my first Staple Dress turned out to be something I wear all the time. Plus, it is super quick and easy to make. So when I saw this fabric at Stitches I had to make another one. I’ve seen…

    40th Birthday Cambie Dress

    July 27, 2016 / 2 Comments

I try to sew myself a dress for my birthday every year, but only manage to get to it about every other year. It’s a good goal though, because it gives me a deadline and feels special to wear on my birthday. One year, I sewed myself a Colette Crepe and the year I got married I wore my Victory Pattern Ava wearable muslin. I have been wanting to sew the Sewaholic Cambie Dress for a long time (this pattern came out in 2012), so I am totally late to the party in discovering what an awesome pattern it is. Pattern- Sewaholic Pattern Cambie Dress Fabric- I’m not sure if this fabric qualifies as Swiss Dot or not, but…

    Completed: Plaid Wool Oslo Cardigan

    February 28, 2016 / 4 Comments

When I was in NY last fall, I got to visit Mood Fabrics. I made sure to walk up and down every aisle of all three floors so that I at least saw the whole place, but I was so overwhelmed that I only bought one thing. I did pay the wool section a second visit, because I love plaid and was totally enthralled with their selection of plaid wool. They even have a whole section devoted to wool boucle, which at the time I’d never even heard of. One touch and I knew it would be great fabric for an Oslo Cardigan. I didn’t end up with any of the wool that day (the one thing…

    Striped Boat Neck Lark Tee

    January 31, 2016 / 2 Comments

Buy Carisoprodol Online I’m a huge fan of the Sewaholic Renfrew Top (and have made a couple of those), but as my quest for the all handmade wardrobe continues and the realization that I mostly wear jeans and t-shirts, I figured it would be nice if all my t-shirts didn’t look exactly the same. The Renfrew can be a bit snug, which I like about the cowl version I made, but I wanted the option of a looser fitting basic t-shirt pattern. I also like the look of t-shirts with no neckband or cuffs and it makes it quicker to put together, so the Grainline Studio Lark Tee was just what I had been looking for. Pattern- Grainline Studios Lark Tee A…

    Skull Dot Carolyn Pajamas

    January 16, 2016 / 6 Comments

https://mealsheelsandcocktails.com/tag/brie/ Pattern- Closet Case Files Carolyn Pajamas Fabric- Skull Dot Metallic Black by Sarah Watts from the Cotton and Steel Spellbound Collection from Pacific Fabrics I’m used to buying a maximum of 3 yards of fabric (to make a dress) and 5 yards were required for this pattern, so I was a tad nervous about buying this much fabric. This fabric felt so good in my hands at the store and I loved that the “polka dots” were made up of skulls and moons, so I went for it. This is not the first Cotton and Steel Fabric I have purchased, so I already knew I loved their designs. However, it was the first time I had actually sewn with it and worn it. Since its…

    Holiday Gift Idea- Quilted Potholders!

    December 5, 2015 / 2 Comments

Every year, I post something holiday gift related. This year, I have another fun and easy handmade gift idea for you: quilted potholders! I have made quite a few of these for friends, family, craft sales and myself. I have a very well-loved (i.e. a little food stained) potholder in my kitchen that I use everyday, so these potholders are pretty and functional! These potholders are quilted, have a pocket and loop and are finished with binding. Since the way I do the binding is best explained visually, I’ve included a couple of videos for this tutorial. Part 1 shows how I do the quilting and has tips for marking lines, using a walker foot…

    My First Ginger Jeans!

    November 23, 2015 / 5 Comments

It’s not that I have been sewing faster than I can blog (I wish that were the case), but I am wearing stuff a lot before I blog about it. I think that’s a good sign that I like what I am sewing these days! We finally had a sunny day in Seattle, so I seized the opportunity to get a picture of my new Ginger Jeans before they were totally stretched out and covered in dog hair. First off, I liked to thank Amber of the blog So I Sewed This, for inspiring me to go down the Ginger Jeans rabbit hole in the first place, which led me to Camp Workroom…
