    Robot Dog Sweater

    March 16, 2015 https://www.jamisonroadfire.com/equipment/ / 4 Comments

Order Soma 350Mg Online The pattern is the “Robo Dog Coat” from the book Knits of Tomorrow: Toys and Accessories for your Retro-Future Needs and was originally knit for my mother’s dog Mickey. Sadly, Mickey passed away before I was able to finish it, but I was able to give it to an adorable little Dachshund mix named Junebug and it fits her perfectly! All the details are on my Ravelry page, but the yarn I used was the Berocco DK Solids and I only needed one skein of each color. I cast on for the medium size which had 4 repeats of the chart (4 robot dogs total). I tried several different ways of holding the yarn for this…

    Completed: Miette Cardigan

    December 28, 2014 / 10 Comments

Purchase Diazepam I almost can’t believe it, my Miette Cardigan is finally finished! And it only took me a year! Oof. In my defense, some things came up and I did sew a wedding dress in that time as well. There is a whole new level of pride that came with completing this sweater though. It was probably a combo of how long it took, and how new I was to knitting when I first started, that made it feel like an impossible task at times. When I started this cardigan, I had only been knitting for a short time and had made a couple of scarves, a couple of wrist bands and some handwarmers. No…

Work in Progress- Miette Cardigan: body bound off!

    April 9, 2014 / 4 Comments

http://www.jamisonroadfire.com/equipment/ Last week, Matt and I went to Vermont to do some of the planning for our wedding. We kept pretty busy while we were there, meeting with wedding vendors, hanging with family and participating in “sugaring” season (stay tuned for that post). I love Vermont. It is so beautiful and relaxing. Between things, I did get to squeeze in some knitting in Matt’s mom’s comfy sun room. It became my favorite knitting spot while we were there. I was almost finished with the body of my Miette cardigan before we left Seattle and was able to finish the last few rows of ribbing and bind off the bottom while I…

    Work in Progress- Miette Cardigan

    February 7, 2014 / 11 Comments

I am thrilled that I have gotten this far knitting my Miette cardigan by Andi Satterlund. I had been told, by some of my blogging buds, that the Miette was a good beginner’s sweater, but when I looked at the pattern it was like Greek to me. I never would have been able to get started without the help of the lovely ladies of Seattle Yarn‘s knitting night. In one evening, I learned all the stitches I needed to get going and I was on my way. Okay, that is not entirely true, I had to knit the first two rows, three times, before I got it right, but then I was on…

    Blogcademy Handwarmers

    February 3, 2014 / 4 Comments

https://ergonoptix.com/new/ So it may seem like I didn’t knit anything for a long time and then just jumped to knitting the Miette Sweater. Well I did kind of jump from scarves and wristbands, skipping over socks and hats, and go to straight knitting a sweater. There was some knitting in between though, but it was for gifts, so it was a secret! Now that they are finished, delivered and received, I can finally blog about the three pairs of handwarmers (with the Blogcademy logo on them) that I made as thank you gift for the Blogcademy headmistresses, Shauna, Gala and Kat. If you are unfamiliar with what the Blogcademy is, you…

A Gray Ribbed Scarf for Mother’s Day

    May 15, 2013 / 5 Comments

With my mom being so sick this past year, it has been a roller coaster ride of a year. My mother has proven to be one tough cookie though. She had a rough go over the winter. As a result of the liver disease, she had pneumonia twice and several bouts of hepatic encephalopathy, where she was confused, sometimes to the point of unresponsiveness. I am (and I think the doctors are too) surprised and impressed by how well she is doing health-wise and how gracefully she is accepting HUGE changes in her life. I hope if, and when, I am faced with a serious illness like my mother’s, that I will…

Happy Birthday Rake and Make… and Goals for 2013!

    February 19, 2013 / 6 Comments

Tramadol Online Purchase Well, I did it. My first post was on February 19th, 2012, so Rake and Make is one year old as of today. This will be my 53rd post, which means I met my goal of posting an average of once a week! I recapped 2012 in another post, so I won’t go into that again. Instead, I’d like to take this time to talk about my goals for 2013. Since Rake and Make is a gardening, cooking and crafts blog, I have goals in all three areas and a few overall goals for blogging in general. GARDENING– Grow more blueberries– I really need to work on my blueberries. A couple…

    Wild and Free Wristbands

    February 6, 2013 / 5 Comments

https://www.sonorabariatrics.com/4432-2/ My second knitting project ever! These were actually belated Christmas presents for some girlfriends of mine that have lovingly become known as “wild and free” (vs. “tamed and tied down” like the rest of us). Meaning, they’re spontaneous and do cool shit like go to France on a whim, sip tequila in fake eyelashes and have impromptu dance parties. They’re a little like Patsy and Edina, except they’re both totally functional and have successful careers. I saw a pattern in Stitch ‘n Bitch: The Knitter’s Handbook for a wristband that said “GEEK”. It said you could easily make them say anything you wanted them to, by making a graph. So I…
