Matt’s Birthday Colette Negroni #3
If you participated in #virtualfrocktails back on April 4th, you may have seen this Colette Patterns Negroni I made for this handsome fella. Matt and I posted a pic of ourselves and did a little IG live in our #quarantinelife attire. It made me realize I hadn’t blogged about either of our recent flannel makes. Palette Challenge- Completed Crepe Dress
Okay, so I realize that the Colette Patterns 2012 Spring/SummerPalette Challenge ended ages ago, but I did start this dress within the window (and I finished it June 30th and am just now blogging about it), so I am still going to consider this dress part of this challenge. I got two out of three of my projects completed. That’s not bad considering it’s Summer and I now know that I won’t sew as much in the Summer. I love love love this dress. Palette Challenge Project #1- Truffle Dress
I completed my first project for the Colette Patterns 2012 Spring/Summer Palette Challenge and I couldn’t be more pleased. I have to be honest, as my third ever handmade garment attempt, I kind of needed this one to be a win. I liked my Meringue skirt for the fabric and the piping, but structurally it had issues. I learned so much about fit making the Pastille dress, but realistically, I don’t see it being something I will wear very often. If I was going to keep spending time making handmade clothes, I really needed to make something I adored, to make it worth it. Luckily, I love my Truffle Dress! I had read several…
